27 June 2016 - 14:13 By TMG Digital

One of the South African Broadcasting Corporation’s (SABC) TV shows showed “solidarity” with the decision‚ apparently announced via Twitter‚ of acting CEO Jimi Matthews to resign “with immediate effect”. But the support was short-lived.The investigative current affairs show greeted the news on Twitter saying: The tweet was deleted soon afterwards. Matthews had written in his letter: “It is with great sadness that I tender my immediate resignation.“For many months I have compromised the values I hold dear under the mistaken belief that I could be more effective inside the SABC than outside‚ passing comment from the side-lines.” ..
