Woman nabbed in R1.8m tik bust at Cape Town airport

A 27-year-old Zimbabwean woman was arrested at Cape Town international airport on Saturday morning after police found tik worth R1.8 million in her suitcase.

The woman‚ who lives in Hillbrow‚ Johannesburg‚ arrived on a flight from OR Tambo international airport‚ Western Cape police spokesman Captain FC van Wyk.“After passengers had collected their luggage from the carousel‚ the Border Police members conducted random searches. Members found 8.1 kg of tik with an estimated street value of R1.822 million in the woman’s suitcase.“She is due to appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court on Monday on drug-related charges‚” Van Wyk said...
