Watch: Snow grips and disrupts South Africa

Heavy snowfalls blanketed parts of the country as temperatures dipped to below zero.

Several roads were closed due to dangerous driving conditions and snow in the Free State‚ KwaZulu Natal and the Eastern Cape.

 

According to the South African Weather Service, cold weather - including snow, strong winds, large swells and heavy rain - will hit large parts of the country over the next two days.
