Teenager shot dead may be part of dog killer group

One of the Cape Town boys‚ who filmed themselves stoning a dog to death‚ has died after being shot. Some of the offenders were as young as seven. The video‚ taken a couple of weeks ago‚ shows them yelling: “You are going to die‚ to die‚” as they killed the dog. Police spokesperson FC van Wyk said: “On Thursday‚ 2016-07-28 at about 10:55 in Rhone Street‚ Manenberg‚ a 17-year-old youth was shot and killed and a 30-year-old man injured. The 17-year-old died on the scene and older man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Van Wyk said no arrests were made as the suspects fled the scene on foot.A case of murder and attempted murder has been opened.The SPCA’s Belinda Abraham said” “We are shocked [by the boy’s death] and we extend our condolences to his family.She said there were rumours that the teenager’s death was connected to the dog killing but there was no evidence to prove it. ..
