Two killed‚ several injured in two accidents in Vanderbijlpark

Two people were killed and several others injured in two separate car accidents in the Vanderbiljpark area in the Vaal Triangle on Saturday night‚ paramedics reported. A man was killed and several other people were injured in a collision between two vehicles on Tshepiso Road.“Sadly a man‚ believed to be in his 20s‚ who was found trapped in one of the vehicles had succumbed to his injuries.“A woman also believed to be in her 20s was found lying near one of the vehicles. Upon assessment it was found that she was in a critical condition. She was treated and transported to hospital for further medical care. It is understood that there were at least two other patients on scene. They were transported to hospital by other services‚” said ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing Harduth.In another accident in the area on Saturday night‚ on Delfos Boulevard‚ a woman was killed and a man sustained moderate injuries.Bodasing Harduth said the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle.“It is understood that the vehicle rolled multiple times‚ was airborne and hit another vehicle‚” she said. “Upon arrival at the scene‚ ER24 paramedics found the vehicle that rolled between a light pole and a wall.“A female found in the vehicle had sadly succumbed to her injuries.
