Seven killed in Soshanguve accident

Seven people were killed when a minibus collided with a bakkie on the Soutpans road near Soshanguve on early on Saturday. Road Traffic Management Corporation spokesperson Simon Zwane said the accident happened at about 5.30am."The seven people died on the scene while ten others were seriously injured‚" Zwane said.Gauteng health MEC vows swift action over stolen Bara patient filesInvestigations are currently underway following the arrest of two people involved in the theft of medical files at Chris Baragwanath Academic Hospital. According to earlier reports it is suspected that the roadworthiness of the bakkie involved in the fatal accident might have been a factor in the cause of the crash.Zwane said the bakkie and a mini bus collided head-on. Zwane added that three of the deceased were in the bakkie while the other four and all the injured were travelling in the minibus at the time of the accident and both drivers died in the accident.Paramedic stabbed after stopping to assist at accident sceneER24 said on Sunday that one of its medics had to get “several stitches to his face and hand” after being stabbed at the scene of an accident. “It is not yet clear what caused the accident.
