Six rescued after being swept from boat by large wave

Six people were injured on Monday morning when their boat capsized off Amanzimtoti’s main beach‚ south of Durban. ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the six patients being tended to by local lifeguards.“On assessment‚ paramedics found that all six patients had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately‚ no serious or fatal injuries were reported‚" ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said.Paramedics treated the patients on scene and thereafter transported them to Kingsway Hospital for further treatment."It is understood that the boat capsized after it was hit by a large wave. Lifeguards in the area noticed the men struggling in the water and immediately launched a rescue effort‚" Meiring said...
