'Wisani threatened to kill me like my sister‚' murder victim's twin tells court

A woman has described how former Johannesburg ANCYL leader Patrick Wisani assaulted her and also threatened to kill her like he is alleged to have done to her twin sister. Wisani stands accused of beating his girlfriend‚ 24-year-old Nosipho Mandleleni‚ to death with a broomstick and sjambok at a home they shared in Yeoville last year.Siphokazi Mandleleni told the Randburg Magistrate's Court that she and her friend Zimbini was leaving a club at night on May 22 2016 along Nugget Street in Johannesburg when Wisani‚ 30‚ confronted them."He came to me and said I was big headed‚ naughty and will kill me as he killed my sister. He slapped me and I pushed him back. He said I must not go to court and not to testify against him and must withdraw the charges..."Patrick punched and kicked me and I fell down. He kicked me on my entire body. When Zimbini tried to stop him‚ he slapped her and tried to strangle her‚" she said.The women were rescued by two men who stopped near them in a white BMW and gave them a lift home to Yeoville.She earlier testified that on September 5‚ 2016‚ when her twin sister Nosipho was found murdered‚ she was woken by her screams coming a room she was sharing with Wisani at around 4am.She went to the room and Wisani opened the door."I told him I was tired of him beating my twin sister and he said he has stopped beating her. He was carrying a broken broom stick which had blood. He pushed me back and locked the door. I went to the room and slept‚" she said.Wisani is accused of killing Nosipho Mandlelen on September 5 last year in Yeoville‚ Johannesburg. He handed himself over to the police two days later.His R3000 bail was revoked for allegedly assaulting Mandleleni's twin sister Siphokazi earlier this year.- TMG Digital/Sowetan..
