A doctor on Thursday testified how he observed injuries on two women who were allegedly assaulted by former Johannesburg ANCYL leader Patrick Wisani who is facing a murder trial.

Johannesburg-based Dr Joseph Eweto told the South Gauteng High Court sitting in the Randburg Magistrate's Court that he separately attended to Siphokazi Mandleleni and her friend Zimbini Mathibe at the Hillbrow Clinic where he was working earlier this year.

Eweto said Siphokazi sustained a dark blueish/black bruise while Mathibe sustained a wound.

They went to the clinic after they were allegedly assaulted by 24-year-old Wisani on May 22 this year. The two had earlier testified that they were leaving a club in Johannesburg at around 1.30am when Wisani had alighted from a car.

He allegedly slapped‚ punched and kicked Siphokazi‚ threatening to kill her like he killed her twin sister and threatened her not to testify against him. Mathibe‚ who is Wisani's ex-lover‚ was allegedly slapped and throttled when she tried to intervene.

The two later laid charges against him. His R3‚000 bail was later revoked in court.

Wisani who is defending himself in court despite many warnings by Judge Mohamed Ismail‚ is standing trial for allegedly killing Siphokazi's twin sister Nosipho Mandleleni‚ 24‚ on September 5 last year at house in Yeoville‚ Johannesburg.

It is alleged that the politician beat Mandleleni to death with a sjambok and a broom stick.

The trial continues.
