Woman who tried to hire hitman to kill husband to stay behind bars

A 44-year-old woman who was arrested in a sting operation while paying a hitman to kill her spouse will have to spend three more days behind bars in Cape Town. She allegedly conspired to murder her 67-year-old husband.She was caught handing an undisclosed sum of cash to a man in the parking lot of the Lansdowne railway station on Tuesday in an operation by the Provincial Detectives Unit and the Manenberg Serious and Violent Crimes Investigation Unit. She was remanded in custody by the Wynberg Magistrate's Court on Thursday.The state wants to verify her details and to ensure that she is not a flight risk before a decision on whether she can be granted bail.- TMG Digital/Cape Town Newsroom..
