Three-year-old twins suffered severe burns during a fire at their home in Durban North on Monday morning.

“Advanced life support stabilised the boy and girl. They will be taken to Umhlanga Hospital. It is unknown how the fire started in the double-storey home‚"said Marshall Security spokesman Kyle van Reenen.

He said the children were with a domestic worker who managed to get them out the house. The domestic worker suffered smoke inhalation.

Van Reenen said the fire had been contained.
