Three men pretending to be parents robbed Port Elizabeth’s Harvest Christian School on Wednesday before casually walking down Albert Road‚ Walmer.

Two of the three men jumped over the school’s reception desk and forced a staff member to hand over the petty cash. Headmaster Sean Moore said the ordeal had left him and the staff rattled but uninjured.

The three well-dressed men entered the reception area at about 1pm “to make a payment”.

“Two men then jumped over the counter and confronted both women behind it‚” Moore said.

“They had guns with them and forced the receptionist to open the petty cash drawer.” He said the men were upset by the small amount kept in the drawer.

“One of the men walked into a back office‚ and all the staff were then ushered in there at gunpoint. The entire robbery was quick.”
