One man shot in the back‚ a second shot in the head. Both found dead in their vehicles. This was the shocking scene that paramedics faced in Johannesburg South this morning.
The double shooting took place at a factory on Galloway Street in Meyerton.
First‚ at a nearby fire station‚ ER24 paramedics found a man‚ believed to be in his 40s‚ lying in the rear of the vehicle.
"The man was assessed and found to have sustained numerous gunshot wound to his back‚ and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately‚ the man had already succumbed to his multiple‚ fatal injuries. Nothing more could be done for him and he was declared dead on the scene.
"ER24 paramedics were then called to a factory nearby where the shooting had apparently occurred. (They) found a man lying in his vehicle‚ slumped over the steering wheel. Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to his head."
The circumstances leading to the shootings are unknown at this stage.
