'Young man commits suicide on Bryanston pavement'

A man believed to be in his early 20s has died in an apparent suicide in Logan street in Bryanston‚ Johannesburg.

The incident happened at about 5pm on Monday.

ER24 paramedics found the man with a self-inflicted wound to the head lying on the pavement with a firearm next to him.

"It is believed that the man had warned his friends of a plan to commit suicide moments before he was found dead‚" ER24 spokesperson Annine Dormehl said.
