A collision between a bus and a car injured 25 children in Mnandi‚ north of Johannesburg‚ early on Monday.

ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said the collision happened on the R114.

“ER24 paramedics‚ along with various other services‚ arrived on the scene to find the bus parked on the side of the road‚ while the light motor vehicle had come to a stop a short distance away‚” he said in a statement.

“Numerous children from the bus were found walking around on the scene. Paramedics assessed the children‚ aged between 10 and 14‚ and found that 25 had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.”

The children were taken to various hospitals for treatment.
