Woman and 4-year-old child burn to death in Makhado crash

A 25-year-old woman and her four four-year-passenger burnt to death in their vehicle following an accident in Makhado‚ Limpopo.

The accident happened on Saturday evening‚ said Limpopo police.

"It is alleged that two motor vehicles which were going in opposite directions have collided head-on and caught fire and burnt to ashes with the two occupants of a Corsa bakkie who are aged around 25-year-old woman and a 4-year-old girl child" said Lt-Col Moatshe Ngoepe.

"Inside the second car‚ a Jeep Discovery‚ it was only the driver‚ a 34-year-old man who survived with serious burn injuries and he is recuperating in the hospital."

Police were investigating a case of culpable homicide.
