Matter of Fact: Court castigates trigger happy cop
In the article "Court castigates cop", The Times yesterday incorrectly referred to the police officer accused of murdering Janet Odendaal as "Mhlari". The article said Mhlari had been treated for alcohol abuse.
Mhlari is the magistrate who was hearing the matter. It is the accused, Sergeant Manape Kgoale, who was treated for alcohol abuse.
We sincerely regret the error.
