Caster Semenya's family said their patience was wearing thin with the International Association of Athletics Federations, which they hold responsible for barring their daughter from running.
This follows reports that the 800m world champion might participate in the Yellow Pages athletics competition in Stellenbosch. Athletics SA has denied that she will take part.
Semenya's father, Jacob, told The Times yesterday that the family was impatient with "those people who don't want her to compete".
Semenya's gender came under the spotlight after she won the 800m title in Berlin in August.
Beeld newspaper reported yesterday that ASA administrator Ray Mali was to contact the IAAF for instructions on what to do if Semenya insisted on competing in Stellenbosch.
But Mali said yesterday that ASA would wait for the IAAF's decision on Semenya's participation in international competition.
"There is no change in our decision that Semenya won't run until the IAAF's decision. They have [said] they will communicate with us in July."
