PACYL condemns xenophobic attacks

Livhuwani Mammburu | 15 July, 2010 11:450 Comments

The Pan Africanist Congress Youth League has called on the government to toughen the law against inciters and perpetrators of xenophobic attacks.

PACYL president Pitso Mphasha says they condemn the xenophobic attacks taking place in Cape Town.

“It is disturbing that South Africans are fighting their fellow Africans."

He says: "It's ironic that South Africans consider their oppressors tourists, while looking down at their fellow Africans.”

Mphasha says xenophobic attacks are inexcusable and people should rather direct their anger at the poor service delivery provided by the government.
