Three illegal immigrants were arrested after being found in possession of counterfeit and stolen goods in Nyanga in Cape Town, says Western Cape police.

Two men from Mozambique and a woman from Zimbabwe were arrested on Friday during a police operation, said Captain Ntomboxolo Sitshitshi on Sunday.

Police spotted a man selling counterfeit DVDs and arrested him.

He led police to a house where two others, a 19-year-old-man and 24-year-old woman, were making the DVDs.

Police seized more than 1, 000 fake DVDs, 37 original DVDs, four computers, a television set and a DVD player.

The trio are expected to appear in the Philippi Magistrates Court on Monday.
