Following similar 911 and Boxster models, the company's diminutive sports coupe is finally getting an extra touch of exclusivity.

The Cayman Black Edition comes with a special black exterior finish with contrasting aluminum window trim and bigger, 20-inch Carrera alloy wheels.

The cabin is trimmed in black leather, and a host of creature comforts are offered as standard, including two-zone climate control, Porsche's navigation system and a premium sound system.

For those worried about scratching the paintwork, reversing sensors front and rear, anti-dazzle mirrors and cruise control are all fitted as standard. As are rain sensors and Porsche's dynamic headlights that offer better illumination while not blinding the drivers of on-coming cars.

Under the hood, the car boasts a 2.7-liter flat-six engine that delivers 275hp yet offers a fuel economy of 8.4 - 7.9l/100 km on the combined cycle.

The Black Edition is available to order from Friday and prices in Europe will start at €59,596 (R911,478.36).
