The M30d's 3.0-litre diesel engine does have some lag from a standing start, but it offers gluts of torque from low revs and a smooth slingshot of acceleration and also stays remarkably flat and composed during sharp cornering. Gugu Zulu takes the M30d for a test drive at Zwartkops Racetrack.
