Singer and actress Kelly Khumalo's emotional sessions at a drug rehabilitation centre will be aired in a reality TV show to be flighted in September.

The show, called Rolling with Kelly, will be flighted on e.tv and is being filmed in and around Johannesburg.

Khumalo told the Sunday Times that she agreed to do the show to give her fans a more in-depth look into her life.

"I agreed to do the show after I made a firm decision to change my lifestyle. There are aspects of my life that my fans may have not been aware of," said Khumalo.

TV cameras follow Khumalo's journey at Narcotics Anonymous where she was admitted for drug abuse.

Khumalo is working on turning her life around after a destructive relationship with rapper Molemo "Jub Jub" Maarohanye, with whom she has a two-year-old son.

In March 2010 the musician came into the spotlight after an accident in which four teenagers were killed.

Monde Twala, e.tv's channel head, said the channel decided to flight Khumalo's show because her life story touches on social issues that affect many people.

He said: "She's had a rough past. Her story can change lives and teach aspirant youths the challenges that come with a very quick rise to the top and the fast pace of the entertainment business."
