Going beyond the call of duty

Renowned for exploits such as delivering babies in the middle of a riot and rescuing rape victims, Cape Town's safety and security officers were honoured yesterday for going beyond the call of duty. About 200 people were praised for exceptional service.Traffic officer Girschen Grobbelaar, of Mitchells Plain, received a commendation for rescuing a rape victim from a vehicle in Parklands.
