Cattle herder finds skeleton in KZN field

A skeleton was found in a field off the R103 in Mkondeni‚ KwaZulu Natal on Wednesday afternoon‚ paramedics said.

"ER24 paramedics were called to the scene when the local authorities were alerted to the incident‚" the service's Russel Meiring said.

"Upon arrival‚ paramedics found search and rescue already in attendance."

Paramedics‚ search and rescue and local authorities‚ searched the area for some time before finding the remains.

Meiring said it was understood that a local cattle herder had spotted the body.

"Unfortunately‚ the details surrounding this case are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene to begin their investigations."
