KwaZulu-Natal social welfare department spokeswoman Ncumisa Fandesi Ndelu had her tyres slashed by striking colleagues on Wednesday.

Social workers are currently on strike‚ demanding better working conditions and higher salaries.

Taking to Facebook‚ Ndelu said: "My 11-day-old tyres were slashed today. No‚ it was not an angry ex‚ husband's makhwapheni or amapara; it was my colleagues‚ who are on strike‚ who believe somehow their rights are superior to mine.

"See‚ not all skhothenis walk the streets of Durban‚ others hide among us in our places of work."
