This after a second recorded interview with former police crime intelligence head, Mulangi Mphego, was shown to the South Gauteng High Court yesterday.
In the August 2003 interview, Mphego confronts Agliotti over an alleged payment of $1.5-million (R11-million) to Selebi made by associates of murdered mining magnate Brett Kebble.
Mphego referred to a conversation between Agliotti and Kebble's associates, which his unit had taped. Agliotti told Mphego it was "nonsense" that the cash was for Selebi, saying "it is for me".
"I am doing a deal with them [Kebble's associates] where I am saying . it is only between them and I, it's got nothing to do with [the] national commissioner."
Agliotti admitted using Selebi's name. "Right in the beginning, they wanted to meet with Jackie and I asked him and he said no - he said, 'I won't, you must deal with Mphego and Ray [detectives head Rayman Lalla]'."
On tape, Agliotti alluded to a conspiracy in which Kebble's associates wanted information from convicted fraudster Schabir Shaik on former National Prosecuting Authority boss Bulelani Ngcuka in order to get Ngcuka "out".
Agliotti told Mphego that Ngcuka's marriage to former minerals and energy minister Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka was a threat to Kebble.
"There is talk that Bulelani is going . into private business in a mining group. Then he can use his influence over his wife to get [mining rights]," Agliotti said on tape.
Earlier yesterday, the court heard argument over an alleged "top secret" third video featuring Agliotti and Mphego, which featured in a Sunday newspaper.
Presiding over the case, Judge Meyer Joffe said: "It appears to me that somebody has leaked, shown that video with the intention of influencing proceedings."
The mystery video was reported to prove Selebi's defence. Agliotti said he could not remember what he said on it.
