The South African Embassy in Cairo said the two had met during the 4th Ministerial Forum on Africa.

"The meeting took place within the context of strengthening bilateral political and economic relations between South Africa and the People's Republic of China as well as strengthening interaction on the multilateral front with the Chinese," the embassy said.

Nkoana Mashabane asked Jiechi to continue support for the "developmental aspirations" of South Africa.

"South Africa emphasised the need for the Chinese government to collaborate with African countries on cross-border infrastructure projects in partnership with the African Development Bank and further welcomed China's support in infrastructure connectivity in a number of African countries, " the embassy said.

China recently celebrated Communism with massive fireworks display. They are rubbing it in by firmly declaring themselves the world leading nation . . . aluta continua!

Recession saw an increase in Chinese Rich List . . .whilst its westernised neighbour saw a massive shrink with Toyota (JPN) feeling the pinch!
