Dismissed Ekurhuleni metro police chief Robert McBride's case before the CCMA has been postponed until December 2 after the no-show of one of the witnesses.

The postponement is due to Ekurhuleni metro police officer Patrick Flusk's failure to appear as a witness.

McBride's counsel Mornay Crouse said Flusk could only be contacted via SMS and was in a training session in the Vaal until next week.

Also at issue is whether McBride should bear the costs of postponement.

Judgment for that was reserved until after the hearing was concluded.
