Meanwhile, KwaZulu-Natal Premier Zweli Mkhize will visit areas affected by heavy rainfall in the province today, a government official said.
"The premier, MEC for local government Nomusa Dube and other MECs will be doing the rounds visiting all affected areas," Durban local government spokesman Vernon Mchunu said.
At least seven people have died following floods in the province. The latest fatalities were three schoolchildren who drowned while crossing a river on their way home in Port Shepstone on Thursday.
About 150 mud houses and shacks were also destroyed by the heavy rains in Swapo informal settlement, Pietermaritzburg.
