"The funds earmarked for the project will be divided in three parts, 70% will be spent in the Southern Sudan, 20% in Darfur and 10% in Khartoum," the Department of International Relations and Co-operation said on Friday.

The agreement, signed together with the National Treasury, follows a memorandum of understanding between South Africa and Sudan signed two years ago.

It aimed to provide assistance in the field of safety and security in support of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) between the north and south of the Sudan, the Darfur Peace Agreement and overall security capacity building.

As a result, the Norwegian Embassy was consulted for financial assistance on the implementation of the memorandum.

The department said it believed this project would help in creating a more secure and safe environment in the Sudan.

"The partnership of Norwegian finance and South African expertise is an example of what could be achieved to address the shortcomings in Africa with creative solutions."

What exactly are we going to train them? How to loose dockets; how to ignore a ringing telephone; how to get the drugs before the prosecuters do; how to use the company vehicle for private purposes and then claim that there are no vehicles for crime fighting.

This is an absolute joke!

Those little sudanese and nubian teenage and younger, girls and boys are going to FEEL and KNOW what South Africans are all about SOON.

If they produce crime statistics, they need quick prior intervention by our SAPS in how to NOT publish or accurately declare the soon to be unprecedented increase in violence and rape of juveniles.

South African police "EXPERTISE?

Are they aware the former chief is currently being tried for corruption?

So you going to give 55 million bucks to an organization who was headed by Jackie Selebi, is known world wide to become completely incompetent and is rotten at its core?

GENIUS! Money WELL SPENT!

You can be certain that at least half of the money has been "redeployed" into an off shore bank account.....

deploy, loot, cha-cha-cha

re-deply, loot, cha-cha-cha

suspend on full pay, loot, cha-cha-cha

Modus Operandi:

get a fast turnover of deployees, in as short period as possible, thereby uplifting all comrades who get their turn for taking some loot.
All deployees and re-deployees and suspended deployees with full pay, to transfer 30% of their loot to the Loot-coffers, to spice next election (food parcels)

Guys if only you knew. South Africans are the most ignorant people I know. Why do you trash anything South African? Sometimes I feel ashamed of people in this forum. IF ONLY YOU KNEW.
