Tshabalala-Msimang was admitted to the private Folateng-wing at the Charlotte Maxeke hospital in Johannesburg, the Rapport newspaper reports.

Her illness is related to her first transplant.

Tshabalala-Msimang's specialist, Prof Jeff Wing, said that her body is rejecting the liver she received in 2007.

Tshabalala-Msimang received the liver transplant in 2007 from a teenage suicide victim.

“Every liver transplant must first be approved by a panel of specialists. Her case would have to have strong motivation because it is extremely unusual for anyone to have the chance of a second transplant,” Wing added.

After the transplant, controversy erupted when the Sunday Times reported that the cirrhosis which necessitated her first liver transplant was alcohol induced. It also alleged that Tshabalala-Msimang had continued drinking alcohol even after receiving a new liver.

The rest of decent society has rejected her, why wouldn't her 'white' liver do the same?

She should ask Prof Johnny Walker and Prof "Triple Distilled" Jameson for a second opinion.

She's not amongst my favourate Minister. But in times like this, my natural reaction is to wish her well.

Ironically, I find no difference between the comments of Dukeboy et al above and Mkhonto weSizwe's famous, " go to the nearest cemetry and die".

Is her body rejecting the liver, or the liver rejecting the J Walker Blue? Does she get to jump the queue AGAIN due to her "status"?

This makes two decent people who could have been saved, instead this mampara gets the livers.

Straight to the backend of the Johannesburg General or what can be found of it after it's 'transformation and new name' and continuous blood transfusions from her sista's and bro's WITH a constant supply of vans loaded with garlic and beetrrot, while she lies back cackling about how many she enabled the scythe of death to cut short their lives "with" her hero black jesus - while they all rocked the boat with insurrection and treason as impimpi's to take top prize in the internal coup!

I'm sure it is the liver doing the rejection in this case. Maybe should Santa and ask for a new alco-resistant liver.
