Finally there is a person that submits a comment that makes sense.
It's like the wild west out there between us (good guys) and the crooks. They get guns on black market for a few hundred bucks whereas we have to go through the process of training etc. You also have to state your case why you want a gun. You story above is good enough for me. If somone breaks into my house and trys to rape my girlfriend- dude I would (if I had one) get my gun and shoot him.
Our police dont fail us its the courts.

I am prepared to vote for any political party that would allow us to be armed. ANC is only arming itself so that it would kill and scare us once we dump it in 2014 for the SEC (Sechaba's Educated Congress)
but realy this guy he is good moron ,every day he is repeating one thing police must protect themselves how about us citizens,must we rely on these stupid cops cause most of them they can't right or shoot .
...and where are all the guns handed in...why have they not been destroyed... and why are the people not getting paid like promised for the guns...?

The police are doing a great job, just this morning when I was driving to work they apprehended robbers who wanted to do a heist!great job guys.
Most of us are so irresponsible with a power a gun has,just imagine if u killed sumone, the trauma,stress and I tell u this, you will neva want to use a gun in ur lifetime.

I need a gun to protect my family from criminals. But I need a licenced one because I am a law abiding citizen. There is about 3% of us.
