Top Western Cape cop charged with corruption‚ racketeering and money laundering

The top police officer in the Western Cape has been charged with corruption‚ racketeering and money laundering and faces up to 15 years in jail if convicted. Provincial commissioner Arno Lamoer was hauled before the Goodwood Magistrates’ Court on Friday and was charged alongside three high ranking officers‚ a Cape Town businessman and his son.
