Suspect in Jayde's murder claims he was assaulted by cops

The third suspect to be arrested in connection with the murder of much-loved Port Elizabeth teacher Jayde Panayiotou on Tuesday claimed he had been assaulted by police. Sizwezakhe Vumazonke made a brief appearance in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court‚ where his case was postponed to 19 June.Magistrate Jan van der Westhuizen had earlier asked Vumazonke what happened to the right side of his face‚ and the suspect said he had been assaulted while in custody.
