Rand weakens further against major currencies

There was still little in the way of good news for the rand this morning as the local currency weakened further against major currencies following disappointing trade data from China. China’s exports slipped moderately in May‚ while imports tumbled as the world’s second-largest economy was hit by weak demand at home and abroad.
