Smartphone zombies, dawdle left

A university in the US has introduced a "zombie lane" on a busy staircase, to be used only by students who are texting as they walk. The divided staircase at Utah Valley University is divided into three lanes, for walking, running and texting.Matt Bambrough, the university's creative director, said the lanes referenced many students' bad habit of dawdling while texting or typing on their smartphones.
