Criminals slip through torn net

Thousands of suspected criminals are walking free because of negligence by the National Prosecuting Authority and the police. Approximately 117660 cases were struck off the roll last year.In its 2014/15 annual report released last week, the NPA admitted the 5.3% annual increase in the number of cases struck off the roll was a matter of concern.
