University of Cape Town student Chumani Maxwele – who faces a disciplinary hearing for allegedly racially abusing a lecturer – has launched a counter salvo against the same lecturer‚ accusing her of racism. This suggests there is no end in sight anytime soon in the story of the man who kick-started a debate about racial transformation at the university by throwing human faeces on colonial figure Cecil John Rhodes's statue early this year.
