Losing honourably may pass off well in military circles. For the Sharks, though, it is becoming a well-worn excuse which they hide behind in a Currie Cup campaign that has not moved out of first gear. Statistically, their 26-18 loss to the Golden Lions at Ellis Park looks like a close contest, where the Sharks were in the game for long periods.
