'Die Stem out of tune'

As South Africa celebrated Heritage Day yesterday, the Economic Freedom Fighters called for the scrapping of Die Stem from the national anthem. The EFF labelled Die Stem "a song of oppressors, racists and mass-murderers", and said it was not in keeping with South Africa's anti-colonial and anti-apartheid struggles.
