DA welcomes health MEC’s private hospital approvals

More beds means more competition which should bring down prices. That’s how Jack Bloom greeted the information that “13 new private hospitals with 1304 beds have been given the go-ahead to be built in Gauteng”. The Democratic Alliance’s provincial health spokeperson said this was revealed in a written reply to questions to Gauteng health MEC Qedani Mahlangu in the Gauteng legislature.
