Crowd sings songs as Masiphumelele alleged vigilante killer released on bail

Alleged vigilante killer Lubabalo Vellem was released on R5‚000 bail today. About 2‚000 of Vellem’s supporters arrived at the Simon’s Town Magistrates court this morning for the continuation of a bail hearing for the Masiphumelele community leader.There was a heavy police contingent. The crowd sang songs and community leaders addressed them‚ urging them to remain calm.
