Discs cannot be withheld for e-toll fees

Proof of residence must be provided when renewing a vehicle licence disc, in terms of new regulations, the Automobile Association said yesterday. But discs may not be withheld for outstanding e-toll fees, the AA added. No legislation had been gazetted in that regard, it said.The association said it was necessary to separate speculation from facts.
