Cops warn of muti con

Bergville police have warned of a scam involving the threat of a muti curse and targeting women who appear to be in mourning. This comes after an elderly women found herself out of pocket for R29000 after being conned in the Ladysmith CBD recently.Police said a man brushed past her‚ and “immediately afterwards a woman approached her and told her that the man had rubbed muti on her and that her money in the bank was now unsafe”.
