‘Sassa 5’ only remorseful about being caught‚ says MEC

That the “Sassa 5” only “expressed regret at having been found guilty but not for actually committing the crime” shows‚ Albert Fritz said‚ the “culture of disdain and entitlement” some South African Social Security Agency officials are accused of by poor residents. Fritz‚ the Western Cape’s minister of social development‚ said he was “disappointed at the seemingly scant regard shown by the five convicted former Sassa employees for the seriousness of their crime‚ during their sentencing trial”.
