E-toll tariff gets sneaky 5% hike

An announcement to increase e-toll fees by almost 5% has been met with outrage. The Automobile Association said yesterday the increase was published in the Government Gazette on Tuesday and did not appear on Sanral's website.Motorists were not directly informed either.Jackie Jacobs, 31, a clothing entrepreneur who commutes from Kempton Park to Pretoria, said his e-toll bill stood at R26000 about a year ago.
