King talks peace

In his first high-profile public appearance since the outbreak of xenophobic violence last year, Zulu monarch King Goodwill Zwelithini tiptoed around the issue in his annual speech to open the KwaZulu-Natal legislature yesterday.The king, whose comments last year concerning foreigners were said to have fuelled the tension, said he would convene high-level discussions on the matter, under the KwaZulu-Natal public peace process banner, i n the first week of next month.
