The first 16000t of chicken imported from the US is already on supermarket shelves, the Department of Trade and Industry has said.The arrival of the bone-in portions on Friday, as part of an annual total of 65000t from the US, means South Africa can benefit from the benefits of the US's African Growth and Opportunity Act for the next nine years with no restrictions.
