Current account deficit for 2015 likely to reflect narrowing to 4.1% of GDP

The South African Reserve Bank’s quarterly bulletin due for release this week is likely to reflect a narrowing in the current account deficit to 4.1% of GDP in 2015 from a 5.4% shortfall in 2014‚ says Investec economist Kamilla Kaplan. She said in a note that the current account was likely to have registered a deficit of 3.
